i personally thought morty was talking about 1 fortnight archy, 1 fortnight lakeside, but I may be wrong.

And sliders aren't a problem, i have dozens of skate board wheels, haha

Lakeside will not be changing any dates to suit archy.. The dates we run are giving to us by Queensland Raceway, we can not change our dates to be the off weekend to archy.. You bought this up when Lakeside was first formed and I told you then, that Lakeside will not be changing to the other weekend to suit Barry's plans.. It's just not going to happen period!! If Barry wanted something like this to happen, then he would have to be the one to cater to 'our' dates..
Other things to note..
* Would Barry be willing to make some major changes to the track safety and conditions??
* Would Barry be willing to pay for a qualified paramedic at all race meets??
* Would Barry or any archy riders get upset or annoyed that hardly any riders turn up to an archy event, due to their own reasons??
* It is well known that yourself and other archy riders who post on this forum and other forums, all carry on and say things like the 'noise levels', 'sliders' and 'race licence' is a joke!! Do yourself and these others now believe that they are a good thing??
* Is Barry willing to plan his year around us??
* We will soon be getting a timing system for ALL club meets.. Will Barry also be prepared to do the same??
We at Lakeside do not care solely about growing minimoto.. For us it is about offering, promoting and supporting all forms of 'motorcycle' racing (and going by the numbers we pull it is safe to say we are doing a fantastic job).. Our main focus is also not on 1 or 2 riders and supporting a national series, instead our main focus is 'club level racing' and growing all catagories of 'bikes' in the S.E Qld.. It's quite sickening that you believe that 1 or 2 fast riders 'MAKE' a club and that you also believe that everyone's main focus should be the Aus Titles and supporting a sport nationally when the sport in 'your' own backyard is suffering..
Would Barry also be willing to allow all these other forms of bikes we have to run there?? Also doing away with the go-karts to support all the other catagories we run?? Cause we are not about solely running minimoto and minitard.. You and many others had your chance to support Lakeside in the begining but decided to turn a blind eye, possibly hoping/wishing it would die.. Hell I supported archy for 2 1/2 years, through all the arguments, backstabbing, badmouthing, cheating and all out rubbish, Kim even spent a good year helping with lap scoring, canteen, Saturday Sign on's and first aid (being the only person to hold a St Johns first aid certificate), what did we get for all that??? Not a thing, instead we were at times treated like crap and spoke down at!!
Kim and I started out with just 5-10 riders per fortnight when we were just the minimoto club.. Now we are a bigger organisation it has grown to around 25-30 minimoto riders each meet and many more continue to join meet after meet, we have done this on our own with no help from archy what so ever, why do we need to join archy to help this grow in Brisbane?? Heck we had 55 individual 'riders' turn up for the race meet just gone..
Could this ever work on an amicable level considering the past history??
If there is any 'No' answers to the above (and I reckon it'd be fair to say there'd be a few) then it will never happen..

Buddy, if you really wanted to grow all categories in minimoto in SE QLD mate.. you would have seriously given it more effort from the start.. And not just Huffed at the idea in the beginning! All the other states have interclub/state comps and our tracks are closer than any other tracks in Australia and we can't even have a competition OR SORRY, NO-ONE WILL EVEN CONTEMPLATE WORKING WITH EACH OTHER TO TRY AND MAKE SOMETHING HAPPEN... MATE, THAT'S A JOKE.... BUT I DON'T REALLY THINK ANYONES LAUGHING, BUDDY!! IF YOU CAN'T EVEN TRY, THAT SHOWS HOW MUCH YOU REALLY CARE ABOUT 'MINIMOTO'!!
OH & THE 9 OR SO LAKESIDE RIDERS THAT HAVE ATTENDED ARCHERFIELD IN THE LAST 3 WEEKS HAVE ALL FOUND IT TO BE QUITE ENJOYABLE, & ALL SAID THEY'D BE BACK... ONE OF THE CHILDREN RIDING ON A PRACTICE DAY FOR HER FIRST TIME ON A POCKETBIKE.. AS HER PARENTS FELT THEY DIDN'T WANT TO THROW HER STRAIGHT INTO A RACE FOR HER FIRST TIME..(I'd probably consider that a safety thing) YOU SEE BOTH THE TRACKS HAVE POTENTIAL TO WORK TOGETHER.. I DON'T KNOW WHY YOU'RE SO STUBBORN.. THIS CRAP HAS TO STOP OR MINIMOTO WILL LOSE...

YOU TALK IN YOUR POST ABOUT US/THEM... & US HAVING TO WORK IN WITH YOUR PLANS... THATS BALONEY, WE SHOULD BE WORKING TOGETHER, IT SHOULDN'T BE US/THEM..THATS WERE YOU'RE WRONG..........
& we'v already taken it upon ourselves to contact queensland raceways in regards to dates next year...
As they could see, its in their own best interests to work together!!

Seriously... Can everyone just imagine what it'd be like havin a track say.. I don't know.. 30 mins from barossa.. runnin the off weekend.. What Competitions we could have...!! We'd have mad w/ends of drinkin & ridin & socialisin & drinkin.. oh.. Know what I mean.. Thats what its all about!! oh & the competition..
& All this crap about Qld's safest/premier/best track has got to stop, I think we're all over the snigh little remarks in your posts.. Well I know I am... Just time to stop the CRAP I reckon and get on with racing!!

Guys !
This Archerfield / Lakeside rivialry has to stop.This is doing nothing to help the sport in your state let alone what it is doing to this forum !
I think I can speak for all the users on here when I say that " We are all tired of this too."
Now this being said I can see that you both are passionate about the sport and maybe you should just let it go and get on with running your own clubs. This may be a case of "NEVER TWAIN SHALL MEET"..the Twain is a river that runs and twists ...but never it will join another.
This said...I speak from my experience, If your are truely passionate about this sport...not today..not tomorrow..maybe not even next year...But...one day you may sort out your differences and unite the clubs.
Now before you say this is impossible...well I've already done this and now some of my worst critics are my best friends.I look back how stupid it all was .
This is something that will show how much character you have in your personalities.

Well said morty...I can think of nothing better than having track days on alternate weekends. I can only see it will give the people that want to ride more a chance to do so. It as you say would make great weekends of socializing and competition. I hope that you all can make this happen for the benefit of the sport.

Now Glen#159 I enjoy reading your posts as to whats happening at your track,as I do reading other peoples posts to see whats happening around the country. I even watched the youtube vid when you raced the scooter and enjoyed it. Now as the public face of your club I think you have a lot to offer, but must say every time I come across the parts as morty has said that appear as sly attacks, it turns me off and gives me a feeling of never wanting to ever visit your club. (will be in Qld next year. also credit were its due ,your last post Rnd 4&5, Qld Race Series, 25 Oct 09.. was well written and had nothing that would put me off.) . Now if as I believe you do have a problem with certain people, well so be it...but this coming together of the clubs for race meets could and I believe would put all that in the past. Nothing better to make friends than sharing the same interests and working together to promote them, in a social relaxed environment. As rover has said we have experienced this here in S.A., and with the posts going back and forward on here not only gave the sport in S.A. a negative look and disrupted this forum, but created more anger than was necessary than if the party's got together. It also saw the large numbers we had in S.A. drop of to next to nothing. I also agree that one of the guys that I thought I would never of been able to talk to again pleasantly, has become someone I have a lot of time for now.

Well I hope you can all work it out and see that each party is not really very different from the other. That is you all, like everyone else is passionate about the sport and want to enjoy themselves. I also hope you read this post as its intended, as I am not having a shot at anyone.

we all share the same passion this sport has all ages from little tackers to old farts like my self

these bikes bridge the generation gap so come on guys we are all one in the same so get out there enjoy the sport and the association. and don't forget why we do it for the fun and the Friends in saying that looking forward to catching up with the boys in vic next week end

I remain unbiased when I say this....If this infernal bickering doesn't stop I will hand out temporary bans, follwed by life times bans and then finally I will close both clubs sections on this forum.

No action...?? John, I was up til 3:30am fixing the little ones supreme machines... It was forecast storms all weekend, so it was a little hard to plan as you can imagine and my juniors are currently winning our series over here, its a bit hard for me to drag them away from that, but we're adding up the points as we speak and if they can afford to miss a round and still win the series we'l all be over next meet, as they're the ones who've payed for each round.... The least I can do is support them til its finished...

And when glen goes and posts that, if I come over, spectators are free depending on whether or not theres a gate fee for the main track... as if to imply I would only be allowed to be a spectator... Why would I cost myself to put myself in that situation... I'm quite content really to ride at Race and Practice days at Archerfield every weekend..

But feel free if you want a challenge to come over, even on a saturday, as not to lose points for your series, as I see you got 1st in Pro CAG last weekend, beating Jaydee!
Did you have a chance to put that New motor I sent you in yet! Or still runnin the other one?
If you haven't put it in yet... Maybe you could & test it at archerfield next saturday, as I know a few of you guys were inquiring about practice days of some sort!
