Race report, QR Titles, 7th June 09..

Another great and enjoyable day..
Although proceedings were put on hold first thing in the morning due to some brief rain, it was not at all long before racing commenced..

It was great to see more new faces turn up for racing.. Welcome to them and we will see you again for more fun and enjoyment..

One down side to the day was an accident that saw the medic be called into action.. After a track side diagnosis it was decided that Queensland Ambulance be called out to take the victim to hospital.. Hope your are not in to much pain Karl and that all wish you well for the near future..

Today was the running of the first annual Queensland Raceway Titles.. It provided some great action for racers and viewing for spectators.. All competitors now have the right to display the number on their bike, that they finished in their respective categories until the next Queensland Raceway Titles..

Also great to see the regular faces step up and ride some more powerful machines..

Congratulations to Johnny Danger for winning the raffle of a free car service at any Ultratune service centre, prize was generously donated by the great folks down at Ultratune Strathpine..

Disappointing to have only 1 'new' scooter rider turn up and then have to go home due to him being the only person to represent..

Highlight for the day for me was watching Johnny Dangers post racing celebration, it was very Rossi 'Esq.. Absolute classic, I wish I had that on video..

We would really like to extend our thanks to Mike Carey for an excellent job on the flags and de-watering, Wil Carroll for de-watering duties, Hamish Brennan for de-watering duties, Wendy Hanson for paperwork help, Alan Hansen for helping absolutely everyone who needed it with mechanical issues and tech help and absolutely everyone for having a great time !!!!!!!

The next meeting will be round 1 of our Winter Sprint Series.. It is a 4 round series, once again trophy's are on offer for the entire series with certificates as usual for each race meet..
For those that like the notice, it will be held on the 21st June 09..

Was a great day, Jordan had an absolute blast. Special thanks to Glen for making a spare bike available to us and to everyone else for making us feel welcome. I would recommend the club and the facililities to anyone... you won't find a better bunch of people or a better track to race on. Hope to see you all on the 21st with our own bike!!!
