Update 23rd March 09..

Another catergory of motorcycle will be joining us on race day..
We are going to have 'postie bikes' thrown into the mix..

It is shaping up so that if more and more catergorys would like to use the facilities, then 'Small Wheels Sunday' would then turn into 'Small Wheels Weekend'..

NBPBC is proud to be associated with Queensland Raceways, it is through joint efforts, co-operation, consideration and good management that all catergorys can come together and reap the benifits from a track and facilities that is second to none.. It is also yet ANOTHER way that both partys can hold our heads high and say we are doing ALL we can, not only for Minimoto but for all forms of motorsport..

Also, Go-kart racing has commenced at Lakeside.. They race on the main track.. Some karts, consisting of 6 speed, 4 strokes machines were clocked at 270km/h down the main straight..

270km/h in a kart? Thats insane!! These guys must be pooing themselves at those speeds. So close to the ground and so fast must be reeeaaally hard to keep it together! I'd like to see footage of that, what class of kart is it?

Tell me about it.. Honestly I wish I was there to see it..
I'd imagine someone would have filmed it and it'll be up on the tube in no time.. Seeing as thoughl there was 2500 spectators there on the day..

Unsure about the class of kart.. I will see what I can dig up.. Maybe it was a gixxerkart..
