NSW Minimoto Club Riding at Earstern Creek Kart Track

NSW Minimoto Club has spoken to a private promoter who will let our club attend various days at eastern creek kart track,
all days are run under MA so either a day license will have to be purchased on the day for $45 or you can apply for a 12 month license
there is also a charge payable to the promoter $40, but we need to have a minimum of 20 riders paid in advance to the club as there will no refunds for any persons not turning up for what ever reason as the money will still have to be paid to the promoter.

contact NSW Minimoto Club via our website for more info

how about posting a plan of action on steps needed to make this NSW minimoto club work, so every one can see what you are trying to achieve and they will probably try to help in whatever way they can. what i see happening at the moment is great but it seem all talk and no results as yet, if people see you are getting somewhere with it i think they will part with their cash a lot quicker and sign up. we need to know what stage you are at with tracks and amount of people, where are practice sessions held at how often and how much, where is racing how often and how much. we need to work together to make it happen, if people know these details it makes getting people a lot easier. i'm all for it and i'm happy to part with my cash as long as i know it will all happen, i have seen the racing guideline and classes, it seems there not enough people to run seperate classes so a handicap may be an alternative to get more people on the track at once just to start off.

i can see your point '100% hardcore'. ill talk to the other commitee members to get a full and accurate list of what we need to do but atm i can summarise that .....
- the club has nominated a commitee, and since have had two meetings to discuss how to go about getting racing up and happening
- our first goal is to get as many members as we can so we can affiliate with MNSW (we have 19 and 20 is needed so hopefully this week we'll meet the requirement)
- then we register our club with MNSW
- get tracks licensed by MA/MNSW
-provide members with details on how to do basic adjustments to their bikes to make them comply with ma (this will not be too much trouble)
- get some members of the club to be ma approved officials
- organise event (which will probably be around june/july

currently we are about to begin advertising in the mnsw newsletter and other media etc and promoting the club in other forms such ashaving a club stand at the barry sheenes memorial weekend at eastern creek (we created a large amount of interest.)

im sure i missed some points here or there but we'll provide some more details shortly. the club needs everyone to help out, so we can get racing sooner
any other questions feel free to ask.

Alex

At the moment we have enough fully paid members to affiliate our club with MA(over 20 members),we have spoken to owners of tracks from Woolongong to far northern NSW (Raligh),and the response from almost every owner was positive. As for your comment of ''all talk and no results'',it tells me you have never had to deal with ''red tape''..if it were up to us,we would be racing to night, but there are certain step's the people organizing a club have to take, that dont involve the average member or prospective member, like the many phone calls, meetings, and protocol that some of the governing bodies follow, that we in turn must follow. All this takes time,it may seem like nothing is being done but believe me it is.
As has been stated in other posts on this subject, the main goal at the moment is to build club numbers..so if you would like to help...join up,if you want to race..join up. The more members we have the louder our voice will be..thats what we need right now.Everything else in relation to the club attaining a track to practice/race on has pretty much been taken care of.
It is not out of the realms of possibilities that NSW MINIMOTO CLUB could have its first club race meet by June.
A copy of the club's minuet's are available to any NSW MINIMOTO CLUB member upon request.
I would also like to point out the fact ,that from the time it was decided to form a club here in NSW (about 3months ago) the progress made by my fellow committee members has been tremendous to say the least.
These are very very early days, the potential for growth in NSW is huge.In my opinion ,given a relatively short period of time to promote minimoto ,it could very easily surpass the number's enjoyed in the Karting world (its a well know fact that karting as a sport is on the decrease, the numbers have dramatically dropped over the past 5 years)
So try to be patient ,i know the going seems slow but in reallity, its moving along quite well.
If you need anything more specific in regards to what the club is doing behind the scenes,E-mail me at secretary@nswminimoto.com and i will be more than happy to send you the required information.
Paul Borg,
NSW MINIMOTO CLUB SECRETARY.

see this is better information rather than we need more members to sign up. i love stirring you paul you bite  , i just wanted you guys to put a bit more info up for more people to see the steps you are guys are taking to get this up and running, hopefully more people will have a bit more of an insight to what is behind the scenes. hey you guys weren't out at kembla on tuesday, i even went to the trouble of getting some extra cash out and filled in the paper work for the club, i will have to meet you another time out there. how can we contact others that use to ride at the butterfly farm that dont have the internet, i'm sure that if you can contact a few of them as well, the numbers will be there.
do yourselves a favor and keep every one up to date with the things you have achived post it in an update column under www.nswminimoto.com.au if people see progress with this, people will sign up hesitation free.
i'm only in sales! the key to people not buying is lack of information! if information is provided people will buy! apply this key factor to the club you will get more than your numbers
