AGM Motion Passed

Last night was The MMMCI AGM.
The motion was past to change insurance companies.
TransWest will become the clubs insurance brokers.
This new insurance policy will allow The MMMCI to use all AKA approved tracks Australia wide.
Next week we will be putting a list together of the available tracks that are open to our members and guests.
A reviewed membership form will be placed on our website soon.

This is a hugh step forward for The MMMCI and all pocket bike riders.
If their any clubs in Australia who would like any information on this insurance I am more than happy to pass this on to them.
This insurance is AKA approved.

This motion is one step closer to help form a minimoto association within Australia.

Haddon Kart club, always wanted us on the track.
It was the AKA through their insurance company that stopped it happening.
Only problem now is the only date we have at Haddon is in December, but that was taken away from us due to Haddon now taking on a title kart race in December.
So we will be looking at different dates and tracks to get this moving ahead.
The MMMCI may still have our titles round at Haddon in September this year.
But, this needs to be confirmed.
As soon as I have confirmed info I will place it up on the forum and clubs website.
I will contact the guys in Ballarat with the info as soon as its 100%, don't want it to fall in a heap again like earlier this year.

Thumbs up well done

Well done MMMCI, that now makes APBA and now MMMCI with AKA approved insurance this will now help in getting pocket bikes on actual race tracks.

p.s. MMMCI members if the price of joining seems higher the tracks you will be able to race on are worth it as the APBA found when we got to race on the Barrosa track

Fully agree with you Eion.
Hopefully more clubs join up with this insurance, and we can get this association together.

I will try to answer your questions.
No, you can not practice or ride when ever you like.
The club hires a track for a previously organised booked weekend from a VKA club that agrees to allow us use their track.
Then as a newbie you can come and try on a practice day by purchasing a day membership at $30.00 and pay track fees of around $25.00 - $35.00.
If you are interested in becoming a member and purchasing a race licence, this can be done on any practice day.
You would be required to complete a practical written test and then a riding test.
Once you have passed both tests you can obtain the race licence.
Cost of a membership with a race licence will be $160.00 per year.
Then at any practice or race day, you only need to pay track fees.
This cost is around $30.00 for practice days and around $55.00 for race days.
If you would like to come and join in on race days, you don't have to be a member, but you will still require the race licence (free for day licence) and also pay day membership $30.00 and then track fees.

The problem with NSW is that to race you are required to get the sports and rec commission, and the police to sign off on any track you get to race on.
Big hassles when you want to race in NSW.
As we are in Vic it maybe a bit hard to race in NSW, but I know if the NSW guys are interested in a title event we may be able to do it in the ACT as the stupid law NSW has doesn't effect the ACT.
