Another Minimoto Club in SE QLD..

On the back end of my last thread about the possibility that the other club may have to shut its doors..
It seems that the people of Ipswich wish to also form their own club.. So if the other current business shut down then some of the current riders would have somewhere closer to ride their bikes..
The other location is Queensland Raceway at Willowbank, which is run by Queensland Raceways.. If this goes ahead then Queensland Raceways would most certainly hold the monopoly in SE QLD..
As always with Queensland Raceways, all riders must hold an AASA License, bikes must also run sliders, but the best thing for them is no noise restrictions due to them being in a place where there is no restrictions, as always with Queensland Raceways qualified Emergency Paramedics at EVERY meet, and safe conditions for riders and spectators..

Who knows, with Queensland Raceways possibly hosting another club the numbers at both the Queensland Raceways organisations will explode especially if there were to be interclub meets/championships, but most certainly around the only 'Goverened and Endorsed QLD Titles' time..

ps.. This has everything to do with Minimoto..

hahaha...froggy the champion!!

more pocketbikes on the southside is win win win. not only for ippy....but also for people who sell pocketbike parts and services here on the southside.

plus archy practice days get some sweet numbers on the 'off weeks' of the other tracks.

Archerfield track

Have good news. I have been unoficially told that the track will not be closing as it & the whole complex meets councils criteria so it will be staying for a long time. And a little birdy also said the track will be getting a new surface. The future will tell. Bill

Ive riden at the mentioned Willowbank track before about 3 years ago, they use to race 600cc quads there and 80cc bucket racers ect but they soon stopped the pocket bikes. Good to see it might be back Glen.
Bill: its not dirt omfg... lol

No you have not ridden at the mentioned venue before Hayden, neither did they run Quads, but they have run Buckets, and Supermoto's..

You are thinking about IKT (Ipswich Kart Track).. Queensland Raceways do not own the IKT, the Ipswich Kart Club do and they are the ones who booted all bikes from the track..

This new club that is seeking interest will be run under Queensland Raceways and will be run out of Queensland Raceway (the same complex as the V8 Supercars, ASBK etc)..

Anyways.. More tracks for Queensland Raceways the merrier..

Qld raceway

Gromet if you signed the petition you should have known already that it is the car park area. Not the kart track.
