Your son would best be suited starting on one of those $300 (aircooled cags) from ebay.
pocketbikes are not available for hire, due to insurance reasons.
Your son would likely start in the Aircooled Novice Class. Im not too sure, but i don't believe any modifcations are allowed (except for like gearing changes)
if you need any info of the track, email barry, the website is Home

mate, archerfield would be perfect for the little one, we have a nice little novice racing class that would suit him..
modifications can be done to the exaust and gearing only, which makes it some good close racing..
Good luck and hope to see you out there soon

hey mate, the ebay bikes are a good start for the little fella.
But before you go on eBay I would suggest checking out the forum and the trading post ect for one, You should get one for around $150 with most the bugs sorted... |

Hi Tok 66
Don't go the ebay way..go to the Archerfield and have a talk to some of the Guys who ride there regularly.Sometimes people have bikes forsale ..Because they are up grading.
This is a better option because you will get a bike that is competitive, things like the brakes and exhaust pipe will of usually been up graded.
Alot of the Ebay bikes need alot of work to get them up to a rideable standard.
I hope that he doesn't mind this..".Dropping his name" but if you see someone like Morty or Ty at Archerfield I'm sure that they will be more than happy to advise you.
PS if you can The Aussie Minimoto Titles 4 round is being held at Archerfield in 2 weeks time
Dates are September 5th and 6th..the Sunday will be the better day I think.
Riders from all over Australia will be there. Cheers Hope this helps
