I am unsure of how the VPBA run, but the MMMCI is the following.
MMMCI - private insurance and has race days once a month, with a Victorian title series running this year.
VPBA and the MMMCI are not affiliated in anyway.
The MMMCI is affiliated with NSW and the ACT clubs, with more joining soon.
I am sure you can join both clubs if you like.
Hope this helps in some way.

VICTORIANPOCKETBIKEASSOC is on a distinguished road
Hey Quincy,

What the clubs offer is quite different. The major difference between the two clubs is that MMMCI run racing and at the moment VPBA only run ride days. There are quite a few people that are members of both clubs, even committee members.

At this time our primary objective is to offer our members a safe fun non competitive environment to ride. With us you can basically go out there and cut laps till you run out of petrol, or the place closes for the night. Mods arent restricted because we're not running competition it really doesnt matter what you've done to your bike so long as its safe and meets the requirements of the EPA.

With MMMCI they can offer you the full racing experience just like the big boys with trophies and points. You'll get to compete with teams backed by businesses that spend quite a bit of time and money helping develop the sport. On a race day you're split into classes depending on your bike and age and you pit yourself against the best and the fastest to see who can get over the line first. Each class gets about 5 or 6 races of about 6 laps over the day.

I'd suggest if you can, go out and check out the MMMCI race day this weekend. Then come and check out a VPBA ride day. Then work out what you want to do.

Cheers!
