Having said all that i still think its a top idea and i hope it goes ahead, as long as we are aware of how it might affect new people
I don't think so ..people can race more than one class...hoping that the field still stays the same in the other class...Besides Keni isn't that intimidating LOL
This class isn't about a no Keni class it's about getting new people to try this sport...just look at the interest it has generated just on this forum.
Also I have been told that the new 14/14 SHA carbies are a 15.2 mm throat so that has been revised to 15.2mm not 14.2

i can see jmaco1's point but id say most people like my my dad, bryce ,cris and other's will most likely still keep racing in the pro cag classes besides i think we need to look at this like we do with the kid's now no ofence to the oldie's but some might feel abit uneasy racing with younger bloke's who take risk on the track and race very close, not all of you guys do but its like a class with a even playing feild and everyone is with in there chances of winning (just hope that wen frizzy turns 40 he dosen't buy a cag lols) i think it will be a great class personally i think its gona be awsome to watch cant wait to see this in action

I will try and explain some of the reasons why this class was created.

First it will bring more into the sport, I know of 2 that have instantly said they will ride now for fun, were as they were only going to be spectators. It hopefully will give the parents that stand around watching, something to do as well instead of just pitting for their kids.
It was decided on standard cag so that parents after possibly buying an expensive bike for their child can get a cheap bike and cheap to maintain bike.
The age of 40 was decided on as that was thought the age our reflexes are a lot slower, we think of self preservation mode more, and we are fat dudes lol.
As for taking riders away from normal standard cag, I don't believe this will be the case, as riders will possibly race in both, but for the ones that don't and decide to only ride in the over 40 class, well thats good as they are obviously not having as much fun racing lighter and or more agile riders. Cant hold that against them....there are no hero's made beating people that are heavier and slower, if you just want old heavy farts to make numbers up so you can say Wow look how many I beat......Well

It will be a great social and fun friendly class that allows the older riders that are not as serious anymore because they have no chance of being competitive any more as Seniors start at 16 and possibly going to hang up the riding suit a way to still ride have fun and a good equal competitive chance. Also as stated to bring more in buy giving parents a cheap way to participate and have some fun and a laugh.
