Thanks for the support Vanta32,

If I am not mistaken the Barossa Track has been there for over 25 years.
They are also extending and resurfacing their track at the end of this year.

Yes it is great to continue to grow the sport to more tracks and with Pooraka Raceway working on the track extensions and The Pits having more ride days and the S.A. round of the Nationals, this sport is set to really take off this year.

Sunday will be the first of 10 race meetings this year, 4 of which will be at Barossa with the remaining at Pooraka, and points will count toward the overall season, so all you Guys and Gals out there who are hard core racers, EVERY ROUND COUNTS :-P. Those of you that are just in it for the fun, We are sure that you will enjoy the family atmosphere. We will be looking forward to our MEMBERS guiding this club to where the MEMBERS want it to go.

Have your say ! Become a member of the A.P.B.A !
(yeah i know corny hey) :-D

See you all at the track !

Would be nice to see some Apba riders out on Saturday Night at Pooraka to show some support .

Hi Offtap

I am unsure of when you paid your membership as i have only been the Sec for the past 9 months. But i will investigate it and let you know as there will be recipted records.

Membership will run from the financial year ( July 1st 08to June 31 09) But its a new committee, new insurance, new tracks. Now the club is autonomus and we are starting with a clean slate. We now hire the venues which has never happened before. Gaining public liability as a Club to "RACE" legally has come at a larger cost. But the benefits of the correct insurance has opened up many new possibilities of other race venues in the future

we are more than happy to discuss this at Barossa with you or the next meeting that you may be able to attend.
At the worst this race at Barossa will cost $15 for the insurance levy and & $20 for race day nomination.

regards
Dave

7/70 ... 7/72....7/68 or 8/78...8/80.... 6/65

Ben will be running 8/78 and 8/74 or 7/65....7/68 depending on how mutch torque he needs out of the corners. We finally freshened up the motor this week with piston and good ring etc so he is happy to have the snappy power back under the bonnet.

Ryans BZM R1 will be on 15/54 and 17/54 should be interesting as he is only 35Kg with a 6 port BZM Watch out for the smoooth criminal!

Hope to see you all there, unfortunatly i will be locked in the scoring box for most of the day and am hoping to be let out for food, drinks and the occasional leak behind the tree,

As for this saturday race we, as i have said before, wont be there due to speedway commitments.

regards
Dave
