ARCHERFIELD QLD - FIRST RACE MEET NEXT WEEK

Hi all

Barry from Pro-Dirt sent me through some details on their first meeting to be held next Sunday

Basic timetable:

Gates open 7 am
Scutineering 8 to 9 am
Official Practice 9 - 9:30 am
Rider Briefing 9:40 - 9:50 am
National Anthem 10 am

Racing starts 10:10 and they plan to finish about 2:30 followed by presentations.

Classes catered for initially are:

Junior A/C, W/C
Senior A/C, W/C
Ladies Junior A/C
Ladies Senior A/C, W/C
Sidecars
Mini Super Motard Junior 50, Senior 107 and Senior 125

Don't worry guys, the Super Motards only race on the bitumen same as PB's so no dirt on the track

They will have catering and parts available at the track

Entry is $30, but if you want to run 2 or more classes it is only $15 for any extra classes you enter in.

TRACK RULES - I've shortened some but you will get the general idea:

No Alcohol on premises
No cars in the pits after 9am (You park them outside, but plenty of room for shade tents etc in the pits)
Riders who don't attend Briefing go R.O.F. for the day
No thongs in Pits
Leave pits clean when you go
No sales of Bikes, Parts etc
Approved helmet and safety gear (assume this is gloves, knee, elbow pads minimum)
No short sleeve shirts or shorts

See you there 8)
Al

A couple of questions.

Do you have any info on practice sessions/days? My friends and I would like to spend a fair few hours mucking around and getting used to our bikes (on a proper track) before we enter any competitive races.

Also- as much fun as I would have driving around archerfield listening out for ring-a-ding-ding noises in order to locate the track, an address would be wonderful!

where?

Its the speedway track. If you look in your refedex its behind the airport at archerfield. Colebard st I think its called? Turns out I have some personal crap to take care of so I wont be there this week. Going to try again for next week. New bikes on the way too. One aircooled, one watercooled. As far as listening where to go..... You'll hear em... thats how I found em
