Remember the good old days of Saturday Night Racing? Enjoying the sportsmanship and family oriented atmosphere under lights in the cool of the evening.

Well great news - It is about to start once again!
As mentioned elsewhere, David Stone has secured Willowbank Kart Track for regular, ongoing Saturday evening events starting shortly, progressing to the Cyberbike Race Series throughout 2007.

Dave has asked me to post some initial information for you and you will no doubt be hearing from Dave on the Forum in the near future.

Cyberbikes will cater for Pocketbikes, Motards and Junior Road Racing bikes.

Where:

Ipswich Kart Raceway Willowbank
1080 metre bitumen circuit

When:

Introductory events start Oct/Nov 06 and will be held On Saturday evenings from 4pm to 10pm under lights. The date for the first event will be confirmed very soon.

2007 season will commence in early January 2007.

Approximately 20 race meetings and 20 practice and training events will be conducted.

Racing events will be held every second week on the Saturday from 4pm to 10pm.

Practice and training events will be conducted on the alternate week on the Saturday from 4pm to 10pm.

A full list of dates and program will be available in the very near future.

UPDATE:

Cyberbike have confirmed the first Practice/Training night will be on Saturday 28th October. Time to get over Indy and get out and have some real fun - Cost for all participants is ABSOLUTELY FREE. Here is a fantastic opportunity to experience a real race track, from late afternoon, through sunset and under lights.

Round up some friends and bring them along for an introduction to the sport

The next step in Road Racing, the 80cc Junior Road Bikes will be on the track, along with Minimotards.

Nomination is required and details will be posted shortly.

Other dates for 2006 are November 11th, 18th and 25th, and December 2nd and 9th.

Cost for all you Pocketbikers will be $15 for Practice days and $30 for Race days.

AND 6 hours of track time from 4pm till 10pm

The 2007 Cyberbike race series will commence early January and the Race Calender for 2007 will be posted in the near future.

How good is all that!

Cheers
Alan

Dazza is an unknown quantity at this point
Great to hear another track up and going.
Is this event being run under MA or private insurance?

The guys at Cyberbike are running under MA affiliation.

The track will cater for PB's as well as Mini-Motard classes from 50cc to 125cc right through to Junior 80 2 stroke/150 4 stroke Road Race classes.

The Saturdays this year are a great opportunity for both current and new riders to experience a true racing circuit, professionaly run for all the disciplines at a very affordable cost.

Where else in Australia can Juniors advance from Rookie introduction to Junior Road Racing?

If you are a racer or recreational rider, or just interested as a spectator, come along to Willowbank from 4pm on 28th October - Saturday Night Fever is about to hit!
