ARCHERFIELD NEWS 3/1/08

Since the new management team took over at the track it has achieved most of the goals it set out to do in 2007. A mobile shelter over the dummy grid area and new grandstands for spectators has been erected. Infield traffic lights have been installed, flood lights and fencing installed around the canteen area and a lock up shed for maintenance equipment is in place. Stadium lights have been purchased and will be installed within the next couple of weeks. There will be more improvements to come for the 2008 season.
The new 2008 race calendar will be available as from the first meeting on the 6th January, 2008. Don’t forget our meet will be Enduros as well as heat racing. If there is insufficient interest in Enduros, we will revert to a normal race day.

Anyone who gave up their time throughout the 2007 season to assist with the running of meetings and received riding passes for themselves or their kids, would you kindly hand in the passes as they are no longer valid. If you have the time to assist at meetings throughout this year, would you please contact me.

Regrettably, we have to revise entry fees for the 2008 season. Increases will only be marginal and will not be happening immediately. I will discuss this issue with everyone at the track.

See everyone on Sunday.

Regards,

Barry

Thumbs down Hike in fees

What about encouraging a second or third rider from a family by given a discount as it can be a hip pocket hemorage especially if it is every week. Maybe even monthly passes or 4 monthly passes were an incentive discount is involved to be sure of a base of regular riders, just like Gym membership. NOBODY LIKES LOOSING OUT ON ANY PAID FOR SESSION!
Mark up the canteen by a percentage keeping the riders cost as they are, there are more foot soldiers than riders.

ADVERTISE LIKE THE DRIFTERS DO (when there is a meet next door put flyers on the parked cars, afterall they are motorsport fans etc....)

Regards Pezzer
