Hi Grantlington, they are for aircooled cag motors. They are very quick I raced against one on the weekend.

ok obviously i would need a better carby to go with it. as i dont think the stock one would perform all that well. what would you recommend? i have the normal aircooled 49cc cag

Hi Grantlington, the stock cag carbi will be fine with these 6-port headkits as long as you are still running the stock expansion chamber. You might want to buy a set of jets for it, off ozminimoto, while you're on there.

If you don't have the money to spend you can just raise the height of the needle. To do this: follow the throttle cable to the carbi, you'll see the cable enters through the top, which can be unscrewed. Unscrew this part and pull out the cable and plastic slide with the needle. Compress the spring and pull the cable of the slide. You can then get the needle out the top of the slide now and it should be obvious how to adjust the height of the needle (just use some plyers). Move the washer to the bottom slit and you should be sweet.

If you have enough spare cash, the HP carbi kit on ozminimoto is the best as far as tuning. It takes a bit of stuffing around to install, (especially with the return line) and tune properly, but it's worth it, in my opinion.
Alternatively you can go the Dellorto 14/14 SHA replica kit. It's alot easier to install. The only way to tune this carbi though, is to fit a different jet and it will be far too rich (standard) with only a headkit and stock exhaust. Buy a fatboy exhaust and it should be sweet.

Hope this helps more than it confuses you.

Goodluck!

Hi Grantlington, everything faithy 1234 said is correct.. but although your standard carby would be ok, especially on a little track, I took a modified cag for a ride with a standard carby and found it run out of legs. At the Pooraka track I believe the 14/14 SHA is the preferred carby for modified cags, for ease of operation, and I run one on my Lucky 7, and know the one I raced against on the weekend was using one. Neither mine or the one I raced against has changed the standard Jet and they appear to be jetted ok (check spark plug and riding feel) although this is not to say you would not have to play with jetting.I would recommend getting a different exhaust though..maybe a fat boy for big track, or jet pro for smaller track, as I believe you will lose some of the potential of this upgrade with the stock exhaust(very restrictive)
Hope this helps

P.S. heres the link 4 the 14/14 carby Ozminimoto - Mini Pocket Bikes - Product Detail

Hey mate, you'll be stoked with the performance from all those mods on your bike! A timing advance key wouldn't go astray either and while you have the carbi off, get a set of reeds.

I'm not sure if this headkit comes with a full-circle crank (I don't think it does) but they're only $39 on onminimoto at the moment. The FC crank will allow your engine to rev another couple of thousand revs because it is balanced (won't vibrate though your arse as much either). These extra revs will suit your fatboy too.

If your stock bike was only a 40cc then you'll only have a 32mm stroke and room for a 10mm wrist pin. The 32mm stroke would only give you a displacement of about 47cc and less compression too. The FC crank would give you the full 50cc plus a hand full more revs. The piston that comes with the 6-port headkit has a 12mm wrist pin so make sure you order the FC crank with 12mm pin size. If your bike is a 49cc then it already has a 12mm pin.

If you get the FC crank, it would be a good idea to replace the crankshaft bearings while the crankcases are apart. You'll find these bearings on ebay or you can find the size and go to a local bearing shop (I can't remember the size, anyone know?)

If you have never seen how to install the parts (the timing key is tiny!) go to Billet Performance Parts and Accessories from ADA Racing and follow the links. This link will be especially helpful when installing and setting up the carbi. It doesn't tell you that the top plug should run a return line back to the tank though... You'll need to go to a hardware store for some parts.

Hi Grantlington,
Tried ringing you twice today, no answer, but I left a message.
I only had 10mm pin size in the RD kits, so I threw a 10mm full circle crankshaft in the box for free.
I also threw a set of gaskets in the box for free as well.
I hope you are happy with the deal.
All left today, should arrive Monday I hope.
