I am proud to announce the birth of my latest pro class cag race engines, the proto engine has just confirmed its position in the pro open race meet last sunday on the beautifull sunshine cost of australia. when you get to see an aircooled cag engine nearly lap an expensive water cooled bike this is a site to witness, this has taken many months of trial and errors to get this far and i am so proud to acheive this with a somewhat slow performing reed engine, i will say the cost for one of these complete engines will be at a price around $800 i should also mention the coil is changed to a cdi type and is not cheap. if you need any info give me a pm. RD Racing
I wish you had finished your testing months ago, I bought a carter racing pro cag engine and was not impressed, I had the engine sent back three times for repairs, and not only that but the latest engine i ported ( with advice from Stokey) leaves this "pro cag " engine for dead and owes me next to nothing. I now have a very expensive paper weight, I pulled the fly wheel off to use on my engine and carter had striped a head bolt and to fix it he just wedged a nut in between the case bolt and head bolt. Not Happy couldn't be bothered to send it back for the 4th time.
Rd is that cdi ignition the MSD ignition setup, carter told me his pro cag engines came with a high out put coil but when i checked it , it is the same coil on my std bike. how much for your coils and what difference would I expect.
Sorry for the long post but lesson learnt- DON'T BUY FROM CARTER-
Are These The Same Engines You'll be Doing For Us, RD?
No these engine will be built by and test by RD. I would expect them to be of high quality like all other parts I have purchased off him. Have you got any more spec's on this engine RD

Yeah Dude, We're Getting 3 Custom engines made By RD RACING and Just wondering if there the same Specs As these engines.
And for you lucky_777 I Dont talk to you anymore because of the crap you speak and never try and solve things through PM or Email.
I will never knock paul carter as he does build some very good engines, maybe one of his mechancs didn,t fit a few things correctly to your engine xr8. as for the coil they cost around $300 not cheap but very very good, the stock coil is not capable of producing spark over 16,000 rpms but the cdi allows over 20,000 rpms, this is why the engines will rev out alot more, the ultimate 17 to 1 comp engine i am also working on even requires 10mm brass threaded inserts fitted to the crankcase so the head studs dont pop out under this very high compression and very high rpms.
scotty, when your ready send me your engine parts so i can start working on them. also i am waiting on replies from suppliers of these hot cdi coil sets for a cheaper price, like half the price.
