European SAVA Minimoto Race Tyres now Available!

Hi Guys!

Just a quick plug. Rinki-Dink Racers is very proud to announce the arrival of the first SAVA Minimoto Race Tyres in Australia. SAVA is a very large European tyre manufacturer and is associated with Goodyear. In the past, SAVA had specialised in race tyres for the ever popular European motorsport of scooter racing. In recent years SAVA has turned their attention to the very popular motorsport of Minimoto. Their very high quality product is a result of extensive research and development aided by the input and suggestions of Pro-Minimoto racers on the European circuit. Add to this their affordability and you have one of the best value-for-money Minimoto Race tyres to hit Australia.

Check out our web site for more information.

Cheers - Steve.

Will start saving as my PMT T41s won't last forever.
Steve, it is obvious that the price of the SAVA tyres are cheaper, but how would you rate them against PMT tyres?

Brian- the Sava's are similar for grip as the PMT's...the only 'main' difference is (i think) the Sava's are a 'steeper' tread face..wherre as the pmt's are more broad..?

Hi fellas,
Their grip performance is definitely on par with PMT however I am not in a position to say yet how their durability compares to PMT or Chinese tyres for that matter, as we haven't been running them long enough yet to gauge their durability, though so far they seem to be holding up well.

As for the dimensions X is correct. The SAVA rear tyre is approximately 9mm narrower giving it a slightly steeper tread face than it's PMT counterpart. This allows for an easier lean into corners but the trade off is less tyre surface area in contact with the track but not so much as to compromise their outstanding grip  . The SAVA front tyres are the same dimentions as PMT.

Prices.

Give this a go http://www.rinkidinkracers.com.au/wheels-and-tyres.asp

We didn't get any wets with this shippment as they are the dearest of the SAVA range and most guy's give racing in the wet a big miss anyway. I guess though that this trend will change as capable wet tyres are made available and race events get more serious so we will grab some wets with our next order.

I guess I am still coming to terms with racing in the wet after a big "OFF" in what were only slightly wet conditions over six months ago. I am still sporting a very uncomfortable metal plate in my shoulder as the result of a high side from hell

Are the SAVA tyres Uni or Bi-directional. Some tracks are predominately left or right hand bias, so one side always wears out first. Can they be reversed on the rim?

From my understanding, the SAVA's are uni-directional tyres (can only be run one way)

Just so you know what the tyres are compared to the PMT's//
MRA's are similar to PMT R
MRB's are similar to PMT T4-/T41's
MRC's are similar to the PMT B's..

I may grab a set of MRA's soon
