ok just check 2-3 bikes from ebusiness - going by the pic are 40cc - is this still the simplist way of checkin 40cc 49cc? without measuring the bore? i ask because the ebusiness guy (howard) stated "

"This has caused us a good deal of concern and we are glad that you brought this matter to our notice. In fact, our company around 1 yr and 3 months ago was a victim of being cheated by one of the manufacturers supplying 43cc and led to believe it is a 49cc. So after this exercise, we are very causious of future bikes we order"

I have notify all related parties involved, and We have opened up and investigated around a dozen of the pocket bikes from the same production batch, and still could not find that they are in fact a 43cc not a 49cc as you have mentioned.

If I could kindly ask for your assistance with this matter of the following

1) How did you measure them to find that 2 out of 3 is not a 49cc

2) If you still have the original box, could you find a number starting with LM (which is the production batch number)

3) Which colour was the 2 which is with a 43cc engine (photo will be much appreciated)

I guess to back myself up offically i will have to take the engines in to get measured by a bike machanic to make sure??

However just to mix things up - i brought 3 bikes (ebay-cheap) goin by the pic of engine to tell 40cc/49cc 1 out of 3 is 49cc- i only got the 49cc and the other 40cc bike up and running but found that the 40cc tends to run better, better pickup, revs nicely, goes ok compared to the 49cc

but i will get up pics up soon of the engine's i've got for ya's to check?

sorry about the novel i just wrote guys

i used the fin method to check my bikes head and it is different to both the pictures on the first page of this thread.

All my fins are joined the whole way round except for the one that is in line with the middle of the exhaust port.

i removed the cylinder and measured the bottom of the bore and it was spot on 44mm ...

you will have to remove the cover there will be a lug & screw on it connecting it to the pull starter & it may have 1 or 2 screws on the other side near the air outlet
