Cag running problems

My neighbour bought his 3 year old son a pocketquad for christmas. At first it wasn't running at all, I have a fiddle with it and managed to get it running.

Now the bike is running but it only runs well on about 3/4 to 2/3 choke. It runs in other choke positions but will bog out and not hit powerband.

I have done everything I can think of to try and get the quad running on "Open" choke but it wont.

So far i have done

- Removed carb, blown out with air compressor (no blocked jets)
- Tried different circlip settings on the needle but this made it run worse both ways.
- Checked the exhaust for leaks
- No kink in fuel line
- He has still got the stock spark plug but I don't think this is the problem (or is it?)

Any suggestions?

Cheers
Mitch

Yeh the spark plug has to be done, but RE fuel filter and lines I don't think that will fix the problem.

has the carby got another adjustable screw, apart from the idle? if it does, play around with that, it might be getting too much air and not enough fuel, or too fuel and not enough air! what colour is the spark plug?
