what to do to go fast for cheap, for a stock 47cc cag ?

I got a 47cc cag style bike and want it to go faster. whats the best gear ratio for this stock bike and what other cheap (on a budget) mods can i do for cheap? this bike will do 34 mph stock but want to go about 45 mph or faster is this possible for little money? or do i need to spend a fortune on it? (or should i upgrade to 110cc and cheat) also i want to know the best feul mixture for this stock bike after break-in? i have lots more questions but these will do for now thankz 8)

RD RACING is an unknown quantity at this point
stevo, if you want your bike to go faster, there are heaps of things you can do. if you have a workshop thats good, if you have money thats also good, the art of fine tuneing an engine is to get fuel into it and out of it as quick as possible. to keep you engine reliable, i would start with a good adjustable carby [ walbro / delorto ] a good tuned pipe [ large volume] say fat boy or simular, get rid of the stock reeds and do or buy a modified barrell, there is to much to mention.
as for fuel; when run-in mix at 40 to 1 [synthetic 2 stroke oil] motul800
follow up some of the sites.

Steveo are you sure your bike does 34mph(54.4kph)stock?If so you must weigh 30 kilo's or something. You will also have to do alot of work/mods to get the not easily achievable 45mph(72kph) or faster.Thats with 7/62 at 12000rpms with you on it :o

from the mods i've done to mine I say the most significant improvments came after changing exhaust to a performance pipe and also after widening the carby chamber and widening the carby jet. You can widen a stock carby for free if you have access to a big bench drill and know how to use them.
