Water Pump leaks

hello,
On the first day out with my water-cooled bike over heating was a problem. When I got home I found that the pump was leaking in the pullstarter side, so off came the cover. The pump was leaking from the seals. I have found it hard to get the flywheel off and not sure about the pump it's self. Has anyone worked on a water pump and know what seals there as well as if they come out without pulling the hole motor appart? Some photos or a proper picture would be great as what comes with the bike is no good.

The Chinese are notorious for putting seals in back to front hence your leak from the Pump, engine needs to be split to get it out

so do you mean that the hole engine has to be pulled in half. AS in head off crank case apparat and the rest?

hello,

tanks for that. all apart and back together. Replaiced bearings as crank bearings are cheap and after the first ride showed wear in them. I highly recomend that they be changed on all bikes asap or one day you will lose the lot. Runs great now and can see the water pump working through the over flow bottle.
