New Head Kits

i have had the opportunity to assess the new [ rev head unlimited ] head kits from ozminimotos, this is not a review as such but i am quite satisfied with the total kit and for the price, excellent. there is one thing i would like any buyers of this head kit to do before fitting is to make sure the piston with no rings attached will drop through the cylinder without any force, this is very inportant as i have noticed some slight excess machine burrs left on the pistons boost port as well as the bottom of piston skirt, this is not a problem and is very easily fixed with the use of a sharp knife [ stanley blade prefere] or a small file. its only a matter of running your finger nail around the piston area and if you feel something sharp or a bump you need to slightly shamfer this edge so its free of debree, when you can put the new piston into the cylinder and it falls through on its own this is good. i have had to do this with the best italian cylinder / liner / pistons so this is normal . do this for the life spam of your new engine.

yes phill knows all about pin sizes now. the 40cc does have a 10mm pin size which is suited to the new 50cc rev head kits plus the magic full circle crank both available from ozminimotos. very big power boost.

the first link id the basic 2 part head kit. pistion with bost port ect second is same but with 33mm stroke HC cranke same as stock so not that much of a diferance. third one is the same again but with a FC cranke and will add the most power. but onlu used a FC crank if you intend on racing i the pro class as its not alowed in stock. at least in brissy any way. also i would say best value would be number 1 or 2. but then if you buy no 1 and buy a 30 FC crank from ebay aswell you end up witht the same as no 3 but for $80+P&H rather then 130+P&H

the rev head kit from ozminimoto is quite good for the money plus it comes with much stronger head bolts.
