I wanna port the crap out of my spare 40cc engine. Idears? tips?

Hi.

For the first time 5 minutes ago I got to look at the inside of an engine in real life! Very suprised on how big the piston is bcos it looks tiny when looking up the exhuast port. Plus its so burned! Also the piston rings dont fit on correctly and are all loose! crazy stuff. I also learned why you need to get a crankshaft blanced to the piston. I assume this is becuase the piston moves left and right so there is no strain on the crankshaft as you can get it 110% perfect alighned with the piston and the head if it didnt move if you know what I mean.

Anyway I wanna port the crap out of it now As its my spare engine theres no worrys on stuff going whrong I would like it to go faster than my 49cc engine so I can rip out the 49cc one and bung back in my 40cc one. Cant wait to start work. I have just finsihed cleaning it with fuel and Iam ready to start but the hole point of this topic is that I dont have a clue what Iam doing! lol! The first thing I would like todo is open up the exhuast port? but how much? and were? also how much performance can I expect from each mod. Also a nice compy increase to 12:1 would be very nice or 11:1 (Need it for 97 octane fuel).

So if anyone like RD or someone who can tell me some mods todo your help will be very apreciated I only have a drill with 2 diffrent sizes and some sand paper btw! Not the best tools lol.

Heres pics. were do I open up the exhuast port? which sides and how much? this is the first thing I want todo

just mucked the hole thing up. I ripped a chunk out of the piston when I tried to get the flywheel up and when I was making the exhuast port bigger with the drill the drill slipped and hit strait into the cylinder wall! ! After refiting it felt very stiff and there was alot of friction.

Oh well, atleast I tried

RD RACING is an unknown quantity at this point
Haz, good go but bad luck. you should buy yourself a dremell tool with all attachments as this will give you more satisfaction plus results. atleast you can give this cylinder to someone for say an ashtray. lol

He did say it was his spare engine, so what better way to learn then to learn from your own mistakes.
