40cc engine doesnt fully uncover exhuast port but 49cc does!

Facinatiting! Just discoverd this when I was playing about with my enigines seing if there is any other ways to tell if your bike is 40cc or 49cc.

In the 40cc engine the piston doesnt go fully down uncovering the hole exhuast port. There is about a mm more it should go down. This making the exhuast port smaller. This is problebly why RD Said in the top "Want your cag engine quicker?" To make it bigger becuase of this.

But in the 49cc engine its all go! It uncovers the hole exhuast port!

RD RACING is an unknown quantity at this point
this 40cc engine may have a 33mm conrod which will give an extra 1mm of height to the piston also if it does have this 33mm rod the engine will come out at 41.47cc not 40cc.

i've never seen a 33mm rod in the smaller engines..pretty sure u wont find one. 44mm x 33mm= 50.117cc, 44 x 32= 48.65cc, 40 x 32=40.2cc r the only one's i know of.

I had a cag that was bore and stroke of 40mm X 35mm= 43.98cc
I brought this one from viperformance last year put a fatboy, tripple stage reeds, matched exhaust port, boost ported as well as ported stock carb and she flew about 75 km/h i got with 7/68 gearing.
All these parts where purchased from CARTER RACING DEVELOPMENTS  and porting done by him aswell,

look at these specs, 44mm x 33mm stroke =50.17cc
44mm x 32mm stroke = 48.65cc
40mm x 33mm stroke = 41.47cc
40mm x 32mm stroke = 40.2 cc

these are the combinations of bores and rod strokes from factory produced cag engines available, [stock ]
