So take those screws out and unhook throttle cable and it will come off? Sounds easy enough. is there only 1 jet in the stock carbs? Where are they located if there is 2 cuz in his picture i only see one..
there are 2 so called jets in the stock cag carby, one is the main jet and the other is a jet situated under the float assembly, you must remove this assembly and withdraw the [needle] then you will see the [seat] where this tiny white coloured plastic needle lives, this seat hole must be cleaned out as it is classed as a jet and when this is blocked your engine don,t work.
notice that the white coloured plastic fuel tap [cock] is in the OFF[turned off position, east west , for this to be in the ON position it must be facing north south, it is advisable to leave this fuel tap [ cock] in the ON position at all times as this plastic sealed tap can leak if opened and closed alot.

Thx RD never knew that. I emailed my PB company when I first got my bike and they said to shut it off after every ride. They're idiots though.
by leaving the fuel tap [cock] on all the time, you will know how your carby is condition wise as if it does start to leak fuel out of the over flow tube you will know straight away its time to clear out the carby.
jonty, this type of carby would have to be the simplest carby of all to work on, remember the keys - observation, care, patience, cleanliness. if in doubt make contact.
it seems like you didn,t take much notice of the throttle cable connecting point when you pulled it all to bits, the inner cable goes through a spring then the end of the cable [lug] attaches to the clip which is attached to the main needle.
