choke problems

Hey guys, after finally taking delivery last week of my new cag after a weekend of replacing nuts and bolts, fuel lines, filters, plug etc, I finally fuelled her up and took her for a spin, my problem is that the instructions say that to use the choke to start(push lever down) after a minute push leaver up to turn choke off and away we go well!!!!!!! it seems the instructions are in reverse as the bike wont go with"the choke lever up" but when pushed down off we go, does this make sense? my only problem is that when lever is in down position it is a little smokey, is this just the nature of the first couple of tanks at 25-1? and will the smoke dissapate when the mix becomes leaner?

Hope to see you guys out there

The 'destructions' aren't 100% gospel...

Take the airfilter off and see wether the choke covers the throat or not.. Then you'll know which is on or off...

After a run pull your plug out and inspect it, check how wet or dry it is etc...You will the know what you need to do with the jetting...

You can also adjust how rich/lean it is using the adjustment in the carb..

25:1 tends can be a little smokey espically in the running in period as the engine is not being used at full power & tend to load up a little & put out more smoke

a good NGK plug will help if you dont already have one & once run in try less oil 32:1 is fine some run leaner on oil but i wouldn't advise going too lean on the oil ratio as less oil can create more heat & excessive wear etc...
