once u have the fairing, fuel tank etc off... undo the exhaust and inlet manifold now undo the 4 head bolts slide the head off remove the head gasket now slide the barrel off (bottom part of the head) remove the base gasket (bottom head gasket) pull on the piston untill its at the highest point so u have more room to work with it on both side of the piston there are two holes inside of this there is a bar with two sir clips holding the bar remove one of these clip with needle nose plyers than push the bar from the other side now the piston should fall off if u have new beaing replace those aswell they will fall out as a case of bearings these bearings are called the "little end bearings" when reassembling the motor make sure the arrow on the piston is pointing towards the exhaust port and also make sure the sir clips are propperly seated give it a slight jiggle with the plyers to make sure its not going to pop out smear a thin coating of oil over the new parts before the motor goes back together if u have any problems dont try to fix it or work around out just ask someone on these boards
