when people get the option, most would prefer to sit back and let the answers come to them rather than go out and look for them.

it's annoying isn't it?

worst part is they dont even do the basic research of what can be done and ask about if the mods are good. on www.pocketbikeplanet.com every single question you have about pocket bikes has been answered. Seriously EVERY SINGLE ONE. (hope im not affecting this site, but i prefer this site... at least the pages load within the hour lol)

noo no no no,... u know them little electric motors u find in them portable fans??? well ur electric start is just a really big one of them,... and that have magnets in them,.. thats how they work,... and the crank shaft goes right threw the middle,... the the drive shaft of the portable fan,.. when the elec start isnt turned on,.. the magnets are trying to hold the crank shaft coz that are magnets and pull metal,... so when it isnt in use its trying its best to stop ur crank shaft from moving

jackson, somehow i think that is incorrect, your right, electric engines have magnets, BUT would an engineer design an engine with a electric start that would inhibit the performance of an engine!?!?! If that is the case i dont wana know wat else might be f**ked bout that sorta bike. As you have said it that the magnets are around a shaft, magnets wouldnt affect the spining of the shaft. I think if u know wat ur doin u should take it apart and figure out how it really works, and if how u described it is how i would look at buying a different bike if you are after performance. A bearing in the electric start may be an acting force on the shaft but that friction would be minimal (unless it was some sort of bushing or something... never know wat they might put on the bikes) If thats the case you should be able to replace it with a good quality ball bearing and should reduce friction alot.

i dont think the ppl making these bikes care very much,... but like elec start every 1 sees it and is like oooh electric start,.. buy buy buy

it probably wouldnt do a whole lot,.. like a great deal,.. but it still does,.. ozscoot take them out and put a spacer in there for u if u ask them,.. they said it gives more power buy taking it out and geting just a spacer and getting rid of elec start
