On that particular bike my course of action would be the following

Upgrade reeds
Upgrade carburettor to 18 or 19mm genuine Dellorto
Modify the engine to get the squish down to .50 (stock B1 blata rep motors usually have up to 2.5mm squish and hardly any compression)
Port match the crankcase to the cylinder.
Quality spark plug such as a Denso IW27 Iridium plug.

That should do. Just sorting out the squish and carby and generally checking over the rest of the bike should net some pretty good results in reliability and performance.

Word of caution however. I think it's a tricky fit trying to get anything other than a Dellorto SHA carby onto that engine / pipe combo.

Be sure to make sure the cooling system is functioning correctly too! I've seen no end of blata rep engines that are more than happy to blow their coolant out of the overflow bottle for whatever reason or overheat in under 2 minutes.

1) 19mm dellorto carb IF it fits
2) BZM clutch
3) better ignition and spark plug (have to ask Darren if the blata ignition works on the reps) and the better spark plug
4) reeds and genuine reed block

i think the best thing you could do is to throw a genuine 18mm Dellorto carb & new NGK plug for now & a set of genuine blata or bzm reeds at the most, Hold off on the rest of the mods until you sort out the bugs

do things like go over the whole bike locktight any bolts you wont need to undo, Make sure radiator flows properly in both tanks, bottom tank to the pump inlet & the top tank hose is connected to the outlet on the dome
if your not racing at a track run coolant in the cooling system

just sort out any small hiccups & usual chinese bike problems before modding you never know you may need to save the cash until you know the bike is reliable

ive had a few watercooled bikes. ive had 2 blata reps and one of them is exactly the same as yours.

when i bought it, the brakes were rubbing, so i had to loosen them alot. the wheels were out of alaignment, so i had to sort that also.

these are the mods i would do:
-i would hold back on the carby upgrade until you get a 46cc top end, the 14mm is sufficient for a 39cc.
-definately get a set of blata reeds, they are around $35
-get the squish set properly
-make a reed block out of a plastic chopping board. they are usually around 7mm and will increase reed lift
-match the ports
-replace bearings and seals
-bzm clutch
-ngk spark plug

i prefer to run water in my bikes because it doesnt make a mess when you try taking the engine out.

break it in at 25:1 fuel ratio then when racing run it at 35:1

the mods can be expensive, but i would recommend accumulating them over time. order the parts every few weeks, then when you have everything you can either make it yourself or send it to someone to have it machined for the squish and assembled.

if its your first bike, i recommend you dont mod your bike until you have all of the parts to have it assembled in one go. until then, run the engine as hard as you can. make sure the clutch is tuned and get used to the way your bike handles, then upgrade when you get confident

It will corrode the internals of the engine faster, Coolant also lubricates the impella pump seal as well as bring up the boiling point & cooling property of water

Distilled or demineralized water is ok when racing as most tracks wont allow glycol based coolants to be used on race tracks, So demineralized water changed often or drained when the bike is not in use is the next best option
