problems with my bike..

hey guys im having problems with my pocket bike. i cant get my chain perfect as in i turn my wheel, its too tight, turn it some more and its too loose got any ideas to stop this because when i get to top speed it sounds realliii shitty as if the engine is stuffed inside

sounds like you need a new chain. how old is the chain?

that's common with cag wheels & sprockets just align it as best you can & adjust the chain tension in the tight spot.

you can try removing the bolts out your rear sprocket & moving your sprocket around one bolt holes this sometimes helps / sometimes not

another thing is to inspect the clutch make sure you have not broken a clutch spring for the noise & chain getting tight

never thought of those things.... the chain is pretty much new not a single piece of rust, the person my mate got it off he hardly used it and was sitting in the shed for about 2-3 yrs so ye couldnt be a buckled wheel. i hav put tape on places looks the chain is vibration on (near footpeg, chain guard) when the motor is goin ye does nothin ill check those problems 2moro straight away i want it to sound healthy anoyys me

If it has been sitting for a few years it would be best to replace, at least then you have a good starting point and also know how the chain has been treated,and no tight spots.

try giving it a hit with wd 40 or a little oil if you haven't, already it may have a few tight links

ye ive done that and the chain tighters but still turn the wheel its tight then turn it again and its real loose how u get perfect? dont use chain tighters?

you may have to replace the rear sprocket with a better quality one

Ozminimoto will have them in stock in different ratios or number of teeth or full kits of several sizes

nah i took the wheel right off and held it on the axels and spam it and the sproket is dead straight
are there any pocket bike shops in melb that service them?
