just make sure the rings are installed the rite way up , as the ring gap has a slight cut out groove on the top to locate it on the ring pin (be very careful when installing rings as they will break easily)

make sure the arrow on the piston points to the exhaust port

& use plenty of 2 stroke oil or better engine assembly grease on all moving parts

i hope that helps

the copper ring gasket is for the top of the head/dome seal i use little non hardening aviation gasket sealant on the gasket to be safe or (form a gasket) much the same but gos hard

the other 2 base gaskets are there to set the squish so you will probably only need one unless you have clearance issues,
(if you do have to use both the order wont matter)

they may be 2 different thickness gaskets so take note if one looks thicker or not

contact dazza or rd they will know if there are 2 different thickness gaskets & suggest the best jet size for stock & 14/14 carb with this kit let them know what pipe you have this may change jetting (as the jet pro & fat boy will change jetting setup slightly maybe 1 - 2 jet sizes) rd would recommend best jetting for this kit

try the search option you should find plenty of info about setting squish if you don't know how to do this yet

Not long back i put the same kit on a friends bike for him and found that even with the supplied copper gaskets the squish was still way off! I fixed it by shaving a "mm" or so off the top of the cylinder...you can do this at home BUT.... Only try this if you are steady with your hands!!!! what you need is some fine sandpaper(not sure what grade i used i just remember that it was a fine grade) and a mirror or plane of glass(true flat surface). NOW...lay the glass or mirror flat on a sturdy table and lay a sheet of the sandpaper on top of it.....Now this is the important part! place the top of the cylinder on the sandpaper and going "forwards and backwards"(not side to side) in strokes of 2 or 3 run the cylinder over the sandpaper, after every 2-3 strokes turn the cylinder till you have done this to all four sides....then try checking the squish setting....if needed repeat this process till you have the squish level your after! if your not confident in doing this do not attempt it cause you can really stuff up your cylinder if you get it wrong....

Ha. The same thing happened to me. Did you get it from OZ Minimoto? I installed it today and ordered a different sparkplug from ozminimoto that im pretty sure is the right one. It should arrive tomorrow and ill post tomorrow night and let you know if it fits. Or you could take a punt and order one now if your impatient like me.

rd or dazza will give you the correct NGK plug number for the kit if you contact them

most mower dealers & some autoparts motorcycle dealers will stock the plug for around $4

Dazza is an unknown quantity at this point
As in the picture of the kit the spark plug doesn't come with the kit.
The correct plug is NGK C7HSA, which you can also purchase from the website.

Well my kit came with a plug, it just didnt fit. Just a thought Daz, cos I really do love your work but say in the RD headkit blurb that you need to buy the right plug seperate. Hey anyway Daz what do you think is a better kit, the 3d boost port or the 4 port?
