Metal Pullstarters

Hey guys and girls,

I was wondering about this "upgrade" metal pullstarter i got....

When i installed it, all fits fine etc, but the bike willnot start, the engine and everything turns over, but it just wont start!!! Maybe it has something to do with the pullstarter???

If the pullstarter is turning the engine over then there is nothing wrong with the pullstarter.

Maybe the magneto is loosing the charge to the pullstarter? it starts then it dies again.

make sure there are no breaks in the killswitch wire & it is still connected to the coil

if it is earthing out on the alloy starter or has any bare wire touching the frame etc then it will be killing the spark
inspect the kill switch on the handlebars also as they can earth out & kill spark

you can test the killswitch & wire by disconnecting it & being sure the connection on the coil is not touching the alloy starter
the only things to look for are spark & fuel if it has spark & fuel then it should start

i have sorted it, its not the pullstarter, cause i had a few cracks at it, and whatdya know, i started! But it takes a LOT of pulls to get it started

I dont like pulling hard,
