temp guage for b1 rep

Has anyone installed a temp guage to a water cooled bike. i know of a sender unit that you install to the top hose of cars that is just a copper wire. I just thought they would be a great idea since the o-ring drive is prone to breaking.

Personally i havent done it, but the principle is fairly basic...

Yes it is a copper core, but you might want to source a small temp-sensor from either a bike or car and adapt (solder in) the section you need to screw the sensor in (all sensors fail at some stage, so it would be wise to make it removable).

Would probably cost you $20 to get a section soldered by a pro...

Then hook up your guage on the bike and connect away..

An LED bar guage would look pretty cool, and i think jaycar has it in kit form

most of the lap timer/tacho machines have them built in.. like the michrons or whatever they are called.. but they are about $400 worth

If your breaking water pump orings regulary then you have a issue with clearance between the crankcase and the oring or the nut on the wheel is too tight causing the water pump seal to press up against the impeller shaft inside the motor. Clean the area around the crank case with a dremel so the oring runs around the water pump wheel free from the crankcase, and try loosening the nut this may just fix the problems if you are hvaing this issue.
The blata replicas can be inproved with water flow but it depends on the model blata rep ya have. as there are a few ways to do it, If ya want any info just sing out
