Judgment is in. I SUCK!!!
Because I had to change the atomization tube between carburettors the sizing of the hole in which the tapered needle for the slide goes into must be difference which caused the engine to be really hesitant at anything below full throttle and fuel up bad.. DAMN!
Second problem. As I said before I did reset the float level. The trade off is that it is a tad bit too high. The end result is me entering a turn from top speed under brakes, having fuel slosh around the float bowl and out the overflow tube straight onto my rear tyre. Followed by yours truely doing what felt like a speedway dirt bike sideways corner entry from about 50k's. After that I put the bike away and called it a bad joke.

On to the actual problem at hand. I've traced the to what appears to be the fuel tap being far too restrictive. I ended up putting a new fuel line from the tank to the carby to completely bypass the filter and tap. The end result was no more fuel surge. Before I did that at Indy the bike was still surging badly to the point that the bowl was getting sucked dry and the engine would die and turn off. Give it 15 seconds and i could restart and ride again till it emptied again.

So that's what's happened..
Meanwhile my new 15:1 compression head kitted engine I built from the ground up went like stink and worked a treat all night until I blew the clutch up. It got in a fair old run before that happened though. I was most impressed. Just for the record. A 18mm Dellorto Carburettor is NOT too big for a CAG.

Your on! Muhahahah Only problem is I'm a pussy when riding through the turns. I've learnt how much it hurts the body to come off. That's what happens when ya hit dew or have wet tyres I guess. At Indy I did have an off where entering a turn the only way I can describe it is i've leaned in to the turn put my body off the bike and then the bike just fell out from under me. It was like it was in slow motion.
