clutch not making contact with bell..

hey everyone i'm new here.. i have one of these CAG bikes from ebay (yes i know quite cheap! )..

However when i give it gas now the bike just appears to rev and no movement.. when i took the clutch bell off and reseated it appears that the clutch wasn't rubbing the sides of the bell.. so i purchased a new clutch ( have had the bike for 6months or so now).. however now i still have the same problem, so i got another bell and still same problem bike just will not go.. i can lift the back tire up (not sitting on the bike) and rev it, which will turn the rear wheels however will make an awful grounding noise from the clutch rubbing the bell however not making complete contact with it..

anyone got any ideas on how to over come my issue??

thankyou!

drewdrewdrew wear did you get the new parts from.Is the clutch the same as the old one ,or did you put in an adjusable one.Is the bell the same size.They make differents sizes.eg 78mm 79 mm and 80mm.Might be the wrong bell.

bell and clutch appear to be the same size. they loook like;

http://i8.ebayimg.com/02/i/08/32/e1/9e_1.JPG

I will take photos of my clutch and bell if you want..

However correct me if i'm wrong the clutch is meant to rub up against the bell, which drives the chain correct?

Thanks everyone

Yes thats right.As you rev up the engine the Clutch pads fly out and grab the bell.

i c thankyou. do you know anywhere that sells a smaller bell then?

I am using the stock bell with a new clutch and have the same problem, so if i were to get a smaller bell it should catch..

I was reading on the forums last night people were saying to loosen the springs or something.. Is that a good idea so the clutch is already out a bit to grab when going? thx..

The clutch bell should be 78mm for an a/c cag,i wouldnt go buying any smaller or bigger.Have you made sure the clutch is secured on the crank shaft properly & tight and not slipping around on it,if it is the clutch wouldnt be doing anything and definately wouldnt be activating
