Are they Ajust. brakes, or even maybe rub down pads so prevent rubbing/contact..?

it just sounds like they r not lined up real well a couple of washers for spacers to centre the caliper or look for a ajuster

a simple fix may be the wheel spacers are 2 big or small or just swap them over left side to right right to left see if it helps

if you cant ajust them id do what dreamer suggested
but they will eventually bed in and loosen up once the pad wears a bit

yea thats tru mate... A few Race meets back I had the same problem, as a front wheel vavle change inbetween heats, was a Quick kob and the front brakes were all hay-wire, and not lined up... so was really really restircting.. but as race went on, towards end they started to loosen up as pads, were wearing fast.... Haha was restricted at the end when i had front wheel in tha air
