I was having s read of a topic and saw a guy post that all e-bay bikes r crap and couldn't do the speed they post, ummm I plan to buy one from e-bay and it look's pretty good, here is the link can u please tell me if u think the bike is ok and what u think about e-bay bikes. Thanx Josh
Nice bike to look at. In reality, it is S L O W, unless you spend $$$. Also, I can alredy recagnize Chinese crap in the throttle mechanism, and the front forks. Who knows what alse learks under those fearings. If it was me, I would want to have a very good look at it before even bidding.
With pocketbikes, the bigger they are, the slower they are. Simple as that. I'm not including the 70-110cc bikes in that class because I dont consider them pocketbikes.
So going on that, that bike will be slow. As for 70kph? Purleeeze! As if! It's a tiny little 50cc two stroke, then they go and load it down with electric start, battery, headlights, twin exhaust (on a two stroke single??) so it weighs 55 kgs. Not a hope in hell of getting 70 unless you threw it off a high enough cliff. Perhaps they are quoting the highest figure on the (terribly inaccurate) speedo.
My bike weighs 20kgs, I've done some work to the motor and it gets 50kph.
I just wanna muck around on it, ride it to friends places and stuff like that, I would prefer a midi bike, cause I am 5'11 75kg, and don't think I could get much power out of a normal smaller pocket bike? I only wanna spend bout $400 on one.
There is one of these at Archerfield that the person uses as a pit bike. I will promise you that you will be VERY disapointed with it if you buy one. Saying they are slow is a compliment.

Ironic as this sounds, you will get more power out of the smaller ones. Because they already have less weight to carry (no lights, battery, electric start, extra unnecessary exhaust pipes, speedo etc) they are already in front of the game compared to the big bikes. Anything you do to them (which you could also do to a midi bike) puts it even further infront.
Watch out for coppers (and cars splatting you) if you ride on the road.

i had the cat eye for a first pocket bike what a heap of shit  it would go faster down hill without throttle than it would WOT! now i jumped on my new pocket bike last night F7 from zuma/kazuma big difference i am 5'8" there abouts and 71-73kg's this little bike gets up and goes i wouldnt say its a rocket but would put it over the brushcutter midi any day of the week  the midi i had needed full throttle to get it moving my little F7 only needs 1/3rd throttle to get it moving big difference
Yep, that looks like a better bet as far as your standard Chinese bike goes anyway. Lots of hot up bits available. Are you handy mechanically? You need to be with a Chinese bike, either that, or be friendly with your local mower and chainsaw shop.
