RD RACING is an unknown quantity at this point
when fuel leaks out from the overflow tube, this is a sign of either the float is set incorrectly, or stuck in a slightly up position. when the carby bowl fills up with fuel this causes the float to rise in the bowl and shut off the needle, this needle is called the needle in seat which is located on the float arm where the pivot hinge is. if this needle does not close into its seat, flooding of the carby will occur. this works the same way as the good old toilet, if the float doesn,t raise up to the correct water level, the water will keep leaking. the float must shut off the valve so to speak.

Does this occur when the fuel is turned off? I now have a similar problem. Hope you don't mind me using your thread golden

excessive fuel leakage from the overflow line on the side of carby is an indication of a faulty float, sticky float, float out of correct adjustment , worn or dirty needle in seat. if you should flood your engine / carby, fuel will only come out from the aircleaner side venturi.

i have also came across one or 2 carbys that have a small pinhole in the float so some fuel gets into the float over time making it uselss
a quick inspection of float while cleaning bowl by removing pin that holds bowl & the needle into the seat and running fuel through inlet to flush

if it still floods ajustment of the float or a new needle & seat will be needed

Yeah i had similar probs with mine,my carby was pissin out fuel out the overflow all the time running or not, sometimes it would stop when i started riding it,sometimes it wouldnt
They say to drain the fuel bowl when this happens cause there excess oil in the carby when new that could make things stick,i did that and it come good for a bit then played up again.
I tried checking the float, and adjusting stuff and it made no diff,so I ended up getting another carby for it and havent had any dramas since, the standard carbys are just dodgey as
I was lucky to score a new standard carby for $3 plus $9 post off ebay BARGAIN!
Its only gotta work till i get the new headkit soon and im upgrading to the 14/14del rep carb
Anyways good luck mate
