lifan, ducar, loncin, zong shen, orion?????

are the 125 motors from these brands all the same motor? they look almost exactly the same, usually rated at the same or similar power and have the same gearbox configuration. i've heard the lifan motor is better though, but if they are the same i can't see why.
any help would be appreciated
cheers
chris

Not all of the gearboxes are 1 down 3 up.
Lifan is said to be the best.

from my understanding, the lifan engine is the best out of the 5

i would but i don't want to sign up to another forum. do you know which brands are different to 1 down 3 up? also i've heard that some of them have to be started in gear without the clutch (ducar). is that true?
LEX-a mate of mine has an orion bike, takes him a while to get it started though (poor production tolerances?) but it sounds great.
cwatt7-why is that?

the lifan and other brands with the 1 down 3 up gears can be converted to all up gears.

my ducar starts absolute first time everytime, if not than i think that somethings gone wrong, also i just start mine in neutral and you cant start a bike with the clutch i, the kick just goes loose
