I have been asked by a buyer of one of the new series engines now available from ozminimotos, which is the black magic cag engine in question that i should let people know how this engine is running. here is what randell from newzealand mentioned via email; RD, just letting you know how this new engine is running in my old lucky 7 bike, once i fitted the engine i ran it in for 5 tank fulls of 25 to 1 as you suggested, then i swapped over to a 40 to 1 mix and then i could give this some wot [ wide open throttle ] i knew this engine had some power from the first couple of slow runs when i was taking it easy in run in but when i did the wot stuff this bike amazed me, if i didn,t lean forward over the bars the front wheel would want to come up from the start of clutch grab and also when the mad powerband hit, i was going to swap the gearing from the current 7-70 to 6 -70 but no way now. i will also say that this engine seems to have hardly any vibrations compared to my original standard engine and loving it mate, i have some other people interested in this engine. thanks randell. this is what i love to hear, guys that are happy with there bikes. RD
for a race engine you are better off sticking with a plastic starter with alloy pawl the alloy ones are probbly twice the weight of the plastic ones cast alloy can crack after a off the plastic ones are more flexable
my 2 cents worth

should perform very well, 7-70 gearing is good for this engine plus the pipe is good, just make sure you file out the pipes header manifold from the circle shape to the same size and shape as the engines exhaust outlet. use the exhaust gasket as a template for correct shape.
