Workings of a 2 Stroke Engine

A member had a great animated diagram in their signature which I thought would be helpful to share, explaining the workings of a 2-stroke engine.

Thanks F1 watercooled

this animated pic of a working 2 stroke engine is ideal for both disscussion and learning. ok you guys i might start this off by asking the question of ;

Well lets start by using comin sense if it is full circle and we then add the con rod, piston etc.... it is going to put extra weight on one side, so we need to even it out if you look at the pic they have the conrod etc.. attached so they have added weight to that side so to compensate for this added weight as you can see in the pics they have taken some weight off the crank by removing it on the same side therefore balaning it there is an easy way to do this but i wont be given away all the secrets YETTTTTTTTTT

cheers matty
