another less expensive way is to drop your squish setting. (this may not work on all bikes) droped squish= more compression and it also changes your port timing

yes but, we are talking about crankcase compression not cylinder compression yet. how does the lowering of head clearance [ squish] alter port timings ? 100% hardcore.

i think someone said something silly, But what it will do is increase volumetric efficiency. well it does on a 4 banger, just thiking about if it does on a 2 as well, Hmmmm maybe not.

yes the 4 stroke is different in terms of squish / head clearance as both inlet and outlet areas are in the cylinders head and not the actual cylinder like the 2 stroke engine. the great thing about the 2 stroke is the ability to alter port timings by either raising or lowering the cylinder plus the adding or removing shims to obtain correct squish head clearance and compression.

ok guys another question. have a look at the pic and tell us if you think the pipe is tuned correctly to the engine if say your flat out at 3/4s down the race straight ? look closely and think on this.

i might say no.. stab in the dark and the amount of gas being expelled? as to the piston mioving up and down?
