RD RACING is an unknown quantity at this point
lets keep this simple with any more replies to another section on forum, to your question this sounds like you need to buy a new clutch housing as the bearing may have excess play causing bind up with the clutch shoes. go to p.b discussion.

Here is a great site if you want to see a bigger animated diagram of a 2 stroke motor and has a lot of great info about two strokes and anything else you might want to know/learn.

dose it help the motor if u cut off a small bit of the very end of the pipe ??

u dont get as much blowback, but its way easyer for it to breath,

i cut mine, and i can feel it pull harder at powerband, but down low its got nothing.

i wouldnt go cutting any off a pipe
they are a tuned length for the engine once you go cutting some off it you have stuffed the pipe & the way the engine will perform in all rev ranges

porting or matching the header end is the only real mod that should be done unless you have one of the pipes that comes with 3 different size/length stingers you wont help anything by cutting it shorter

chopp3r thats not a bad link but the animation is like a strange piston port type engine or as they call it a cross flow with a reed valve so it will only confuse people who own a cag lol

the pipe length even on a stock cag is tuned to the best performance in all ranges so by cutting it you may gain top end or change the power band but there will be huge bottem end losses

quality aftermarket pipes are tuned
fatboys tuned for top end
jetpro reps tuned for low end midrange etc etc
then the pbu pipe is the one comes with a stinger kit 3 stingers with different lengths & different sized outlets for low / mid / or top end performance

u may have got some top end and changes where the power band is but at cost to take off speed & engine reliability

well, i wanted top end, and by cutting it, it has seemed to worked, in a race i wont be sitting around the low end to much, at least i hope not :P

BTW, it hasent lost top speed, we speed ran it, and its about the same, it just gets there quicker now

hmm i can voutch for that, i rode the bike both befor and after the initial 'cutting' and the bike does take of a bit harder and does hit band quicker, its the same speed but i does have a bit more out of the corner.
