Bike for my son

Hello all,

I have a son that wants to get into this sport. I am in the market to get him a bike.. I am looking at two bikes and wanted to know what you all think.

1. http://www.lucky7pocketbikes.com/ (Lucky 7)

2. http://shop.store.yahoo.com/yhst-149...55359/999.html (Tai Chi)

My son will be 14 in a few days and his weight is 120 lbs, height 5' 4" and
has some riding skills with small 50s Super Gopeds ect.

Advice for my son would be great. We both will be at the next race in fontana
on the 14th. Oh yea, what class whould he run with those two bikes.

Thanks,
Mark

Hi Mark,
Mark you have picked two of the best.
The Lucky 7 is I suppose the best cag bike avaliable.
The (Tai Chi) know in Australia as the F1 cag killer.
The F1 has more than double the power of the lucky 7, it is an awesome bike.
Either bike will do the job.

If he has never Raced a pocket bike before, i would say go with the lucky7
and then maybe in a few months go the Tai Chi, When he can ride the
lucky7 to its limits. Better to start out a bit slow, than have him crash
the Tai Chi in the first few weeks and lose his nerve, or worse get badly hurt. The lucky 7 you can also add parts to gradually to make it faster and faster. Guys here that race constantly are breaking ribs , sturnum,
collar bones, wrists, arms, feet. on the fast bikes. They may be small bikes but they still need the respect of a full size bike.

Oh and as far as protective gear goes, Leather, with pads is the ideal, other than that, maybe jeans, heavy jacket, and all the motocross pads
you can find to cover EVERYTHING, and maybe another set of cut off jeans
under his jeans, the first set, even new jean will only last a few feet of sliding, then he is down to skin, leather are great, you can slide all day
and not worry. I came off in jeans, jacket, gloves etc and spent the next 4 months changing bandages twice a day on my knee till i had skin on it again, its not fun
