flat out pumping...

I am just wondering if there is a trick to pumping up the tyres?

I cant seem to hold the valve out and get the air to start at the same time, i guess the air just keeps leaking due to the tyre not sitting on the beeding.. ;(

Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?

If the tyre is dead flat (as in the bead is sitting off the rim) you generally need to remove the valve core and use compressed air to get the bead seated. If ya still have no success take it to a tyre place. They have helped me out in the past for free. The hardest part is usually getting out of the place afterwards coz they wanna know all about PBs.
Good luck.
