Insurance-dont leave home without it

Just got a call from a mate in the insurance industry.

For those who think the government controls what people can and cant do, welcome to the insurance age.....

No indemnity form will stand up in court, and no discussions will be entered into.....

Seems that we have now gotten to the stage where we cannot accept things in life happen to us. We cause them ourselves, for whatever reason. Now we need to blame someone else.

Public Liability insurance seems to be the one limiting factor in many things these days. My wifes pony club has trouble running meetings for this very reason.

Seems pocket bike racing isnt exempt either......

Any common sense solutions to this problem out there?

why should the general public have to pay for i persons stupidity?!?
i reckon evrything like gokart,pocketbike even pony club events should be a drive/ride at your own risk, owner takes no responsibility etc. thing. then when stupid people die they can only blame themselves

yeah but then they end up blaming the club for not makin every one have a licence etc
