Every thing else beeing the same I must put my money on the cast alluminium frame of the Polini. The rest depends on engine and upgrade options to suit the individual budget.

As with ALL Chinese Imports there are small inherent problems, the A/C Blata and W/C Blata are riddled with issues, the Dreambike of which we have sold 40+ have been reliable and require the same devotion and expense to get them going quick.

i was thinking the same which bike blata or dream bike?, i ended up going for the dream bike, general info, a stock blata is twice as quick as a stock dream bike, this is because of the exhaust that comes standard with the dream bike, it's the cheep chinese banana crap and does not work, if you put a good pipe on the dream bike, it is alot quicker with a longer power ban, but it's at a cost ! your looking at $400 bucks+ the blata comes stock with the good pipe, the better bike to ride is the dream bike it's smoother and has a better feel to it.

Problems we've encountered regularly with the Blata include

1. Poor Piston Ring support exhaust side of cylinder causes severe scoring.
2. Blata Clutch is weak
3. Mis-Aligned Rear Swing Arm
4. Weak Lower Sub Frames
5. Internal Water pump Failure and improper seal fitting( Back to Front) causing leaks.
6. Poor Fairing Alignments
7. Leaking Radiators especially where riveted mount is concerned.
8. Weak shitty Hoses

The Dreambike although not as quick out of the box does not have these problems, yes the pipe is restrictive although a Polini Pipe at $460 odd dollars is a small price to pay for Horsepower. The Cylinders in our experience are cleaner and with Porting produce excellent power gains, the Polini 5 Port Cylinder kits bolt up with no effort transforming the chinese engine into a wheel standing and reliable engine. The Bottom end is quite tough and takes the extra HP without concern, upgrading the seals to Genuine Polini eliminates crank leak.

All up the mods required to get the Dreambike running quicker and more RELIABLE than the Blata are in the scale of RACING quite cheap considering the ease of upgrading the bike.

Hope this helps!

i have the dream bike, with porting the original head to a 5 port head instead of the stock 3 port, is it worth the hassel ( i mean with the quality of the original), is or would it be worth it to port it to a 5 port head, or would it be better to hold off for a few months and put that money into an original polini 50cc 5 port head kit

3 Ports are 3 Ports 5 ports are 5 Posts you can't tuen a 3 into a five without changing the Cylinder!!! In my opinion the 40cc Polini Cylinder Kit works great, the 50cc Kit is overkill and will compromise the chinese bottom end.

I wouldnt spend the extra on a 50cc and have it destroyed when the bottom end dies.... then your up for a whole new engine... if your got the $$$ to waste then go for it but stay with what is reliable or buy the whole polini 50cc engine to start with.

Cheers,

Ado
