is it a 2 stroke ?
cag or piston port engine ?

bit more info will help but the correct fuel & a run in period so the engine loosens up b4 you go trying to see its top speed is recommended or you could damage the engine

read the manual that came with it if you got one with the bike about running in & fuel mix for 2 strokes etc...

& post a little more info on the bike would help your weight also, this may sound silly but have you made sure the tyres are pumped up ??

do the brakes rub?
do the tyres turn freely?

it depends when the motor is new & tight you should vary your speed & bed the rings in to the bore before flogging it about

its the run in or ware in period for internals
if you just flog them there is more chance of creating more heat in the running in & causing excessive wear or internal damage whilst the parts are bedding things like ring hangups on exhaust port side from overheating from lack of lube or more friction in the run in period

4 strokes may need ajustments after run in period , valve lash retensioning of heads etc....

thats the usual idea of it anyhow
