BZM pump problems

gday guys,
i got my dreambike off pocket racing bikes today, and i went to replace the stock waterpump that was leaking with the billet BZM one danny gave me, and im having a problem.
the pulley where the belt goes around on the pump is held to the pump by a circlip, but the pulley is sticking out too much so i cant see the groove for the circlip.
help?

there is a pin that goes through the shaft and engages in the back of the pulley - youll probably find you dont have the pin centered so the pulley cant slide back enough.

can you measure the shaft while your at it? i need to get a new circlip for mine and getting access to the pump is a bastard

pretty bad pic but is the pulley pressing against the mount? if so then yeah thats not sitting in the mount far enough. maybe the bolts are too long?

nah i just checked the bolts, they are the perfect length.
i just held the stock pump against the bzm one (while the bzm was still on the bracket) and i noticed that the area of the pump that the shaft sticks out from, sticks out further on the stocky, so the bzm one is too smaller and doesnt fit. does that mean i need to grind a bit off the bracket?

the shaft some times moves in and out. put a bolt threw the intake hole and push the impeller so the shaft sticks out more. becarful not to damage the impeller! its only plastic.
