longer gearing is the answer to that little problem. The new problem is how to stop the thing from 130-140 k's

1. I'm going to cut down the clutch side of the right side engines crank so that they can sit closer together, then re-tap it, and put some threaded rod down their guts.
2. for the ignition, I'm going to turn off the blades of the flywheel on the left side engine (allowing engines to sit closer) and still use the original ignition system
3. i will be arranging the engines so that while one is at TDC the other will be at BDC, this should reduce some vibration and provide much smoother power

gotta say...i wanna go fast...but 130-140 scares me honestly, especially when ya package is planted on a suspension less chunk of metal 30cm off the ground. Although i know a few people who would jump at the chance to do 140 on a pocket bike...they're the kind of people who do this kinda stuff for kicks.

um, are the cranks going to be connected?

you could use a single flywheel to fire both ignitions by putting a coil at 180 degrees opposite to the original coil. The trick is ensuring that the cranks are at 180 degrees to each other. You would need to make a coupler for the two crankshafts where they meet in the middle with keyways ooposite each other.

wouldnt the cag frame be a little small?
if it were me i would probably chuck it in an x1 frame or something. they have suspension, they are a bigger platform to put the engine in and i would feel a whole lot safer being on one of those bikes.
but thats just me, its your project

sorry if it wasnt clear, yes they will be connected.
and i had thought of running both engines off the one flywheel, but i didnt want to have to make the mount for the second ignition coil, extend the spark plug lead, and get the crank alignment absolutely dead on (imho way too much effort, when i can just use the current system)

to be honesty...i have no idea what an X1 is, which im sure you find quite worrying...also, im getting the feeling that an X1 is a midi?
id like to keep this pocket bike sized, that way it looks like it has a major oversized power plant stuck inside it

i have a few mini atv springs around here that i could use to give the bike suspension at the rear...but im not sure if there are any suitable places to put the mounts on this frame, and working out a pivot point would be a bit of a job

yeah an X1 is one of the big bikes. even with the bigger frame, the engine would stull look huge. i prefer riding the big bikes coz they dont feel like you are hovering an inch off the ground. there is usually a rolling chassis for these types of bikes on ebay, and they tend to go for pretty cheap
