The stabilizer actually has a washer on the lower mount to keep it from popping off I posted the wrong picture but you can see how its set up.
custom fork mount and its about 3/8 " away from the radiator to keep clearance issues to a minumum

I can tell you that this exact stabilizer is to heavy for the steering on this bike I felt like I was all over the place, made it very twitchy. the fluid didnt move through it well enough so I took it apart and drilled a couple more thru holes in it, It only had one very small hole , now so the oil will move a little quicker I put synthetic 30wt shock oil back in it now its almost perfect I am going to enlarge one of the hols a tad more to get it where I want then I can compensate with a different wt oil. just informational if you have one of these
